The Challenge – The UCPH project is a purpose-built rehabilitation hospital constructed on a greenfield site. The structure is a primarily sprawling low-set with the majority of the 70+ slab pours between basement and ground level. This large number of slab pours meant that rapid progress is made, with up to 5 formed decks and 3 SOGs progressing simultaneously.
The Solution – Geosurv, along with head contractor Multiplex, worked closely with subcontractors BKH and DMG to aid the progression of structure. Geosurv completed all set out of formed decks including soffit beams, steps and corbel edges. At the completion of each deck, works were surveyed prior and post concrete pour to ensure correct concrete volumes were placed.
The Outcome – Geosurv provided additional services that are normally completed by subtrades. This meant that the structure was able to progress to meet program while minimising any possible disputes between contractors.
