Our Surveying Services

Geosurv provide a wide range of surveying services for residential property owners, builders and architects.

Detail Survey

A Detail Survey is completed for design purposes. You will need a Detail Survey if you are lodging a Development Application to Council for a home renovation.

Identification Surveys

An Identification Survey determines the position of structures on a property in relation to the boundaries. This type of survey is certified by a Registered Surveyor and is usually required in a contract of sale.

Peg Out Surveys

Peg Out Surveys use pegs or markers to determine boundaries or to peg out four corners of a property or structure. A Peg Out Survey is used when installing a new fence, a driveway, or even to peg out a granny flat or garage.

Plans of Subdivision are prepared when land is to be divided into two or more new lots that can be disposed of separately.

Section 88B Instruments

Section 88B Conveyancing Act 1919 enables the creation and release of affecting interests (only easements and profits à prendre may be released) upon the registration of the plan. The Plan must be accompanied by a section 88B instrument in accordance with clause 29(3) Conveyancing (General) Regulation 2013.

As Built 3D models

The 3D model allow for quicker turnaround as the modelling of the new design can be executed directly from the model generated from the scan data, furthermore the 3D model carry a lot more information than an ordinary 2D as built drawing.

With a team of Surveyors and Engineers who have extensive knowledge of 3D Laser Scanning, Geosurv can deliver superior results to help its clients achieve the projects objectives. In addition to the highest-quality detail survey, Geosurv can produce an accurate 3D model of the environment which can speed up the decision making and designing process.

Plant & Infrastructure

Laser and in infrastructure scanning is becoming an increasingly important part of plant projects. At Geosurv we are using it in new construction, retrofit work and it is fast becoming the standard for documenting the as-built situation.

The end result is an easy to navigate and intuiti ve “virtual” plant that can then be accessed anywhere in the world to support project and asset management, engineering, maintenance, operations, safety and more.

Architectural & Town Planning

Geosurv use the latest in 3D Laser Scanning technology to capture both natural and man-made features of Architectural and Town Planning projects .

Although a standard detail survey is fundamental in both Architecture and Town Planning, it requires further interpretation, and often modelling before it can be effectively used in the design process.

We understand that you may have a few questions about 3D Scanning and Modelling. We are here to help and are happy to chat to you and discuss your project before you decide next steps. We will provide you with the most suitable and cost-effective solution.

A Detail Survey shows ground contours, levels and structures on site.

All levels are shown to Australian Height Datum (AHD).

An Identification Survey produces a plan showing the dimensions of structures to your boundary and adjoining property boundaries.

An Identification Survey is used for a contract of sale or a boundary dispute between neighbours.

Fieldwork is overseen and plans are signed by one of our 5 in house Registered Surveyors.

3D scanning captures digital information of a shape, structure or landscape.

Using a high definition scanner, hundreds of millions of points are located in just one scan. Multiple scans are then connected to the survey control to produce a full survey of the required area.

The output of the scanner is called a point cloud, this can then be modelled and analysed to produce high quality deliverables.
