CONSTRUCTION
At Geosurv we provide a number of services to the construction industry. We have a wealth of experience in all aspects of construction from conception to completion and understand the need for precision, clarity and time management.
We provide our clients with services including construction set out, volume surveys, bulk earthworks and all civil engineering set out as well as offering a full project management service for clients that may want to be relieved from the pressure of managing all aspects of their job and know that it is in capable hands.
Detailed information in relation to the services offered by Geosurv to the construction industry is set out below.
Construction Set Out (single to multi storey high rise)
Construction, building and development companies rely upon their surveyor for fast and accurate set out. We understand that projects can change at any time and ensure our flexibility in our working policy to accommodate our clients.
At Geosurv, we can provide high precision set out and control marking in both horizontal and vertical planes for a wide range of developments which may include accurate set out of grid marks, footings, floor slabs, columns, penetrations, lift shafts and external fascias.
Work as Executed Plans and Certification Surveys
Work as executed plans are often required as a condition of various developments and are generally required to be signed by a Registered Surveyor. They are required for projects such as subdivisions, as built locations of services, drainage works, new road works and on-site detention systems.
Precast Concrete Panel Setout and Erection
At Geosurv Pty Ltd, we have extensive industry experience in precast concrete panel setout and erection, having worked closely with a number of Australia’s largest precast concrete panel companies since 2004.
We believe that we are able to provide our clients with a more cost effective erection process by doing all that we can to deliver a faster and more smoothly running project. We are able to free up the construction co-ordinators time to focus on other facets of their role rather than spend unnecessary time setting out precast panels.
Our specific services in relation to setout and erection of precast concrete panels include:
- Cost effective panel and dowel location set out;
- Cross checking of precast panel plans and on-site measurements;
- Checking of slab rebate and strip footing RLs;
- Set out of ferrule locations and installation of ferrules prior to pouring of slab;
- Set up of packers or shims for erection crew;
- Checking of cast in or in situ placed dowels; and
- Monitoring of verticality of panels on multi storey high rise buildings.
Bulk Earthwork
Bulk Earthwork Surveys are performed to define and calculate volume earthwork computations. These surveys are used to determine actual earthwork quantities against design quantities (extent of cuts and fills, batter slopes etc); identification of lots and layers for embankment fill (ie, to control and ensure that all lots were tested for compaction); calculating volumes of cuts and embankment fill.
