SAFETY

At Geosurv Pty Ltd, people are our most important asset and their health and safety is our greatest responsibility. We ensure that our safety policies and procedures are kept up to date with monthly reviews of legislation and requirements.

We provide our contractors with site specific Subby Packs which include detailed Safe Work Method Statements, Material Safety Data Sheets and certificates of currency for all relevant insurances, namely Workers Compensation, Professional Risk and Public Liability. Tool box talks are carried out on each site and a copy is kept on file to ensure that safety is always in the forefront of our minds.

All of our staff have the necessary training and licences and work in accordance with Australian and New Zealand Standards Codes and OH&S laws and codes of practice and are accredited by WorkCover NSW for Construction Induction. We also ensure that there is at least one member of staff on site with a current First Aid Certificate.

The objectives of our OH&S Policy are:

  • To provide an accident free and safe workplace;
  • To ensure that all potential accidents are controlled and prevented;
  • To identify and control all potential hazards in the work place through hazard identification and risk analysis; and
  • To comply with all relevant legislation.

For this Policy to succeed, we must be rely on the following:

  • Careful and concise planning of all work activities;
  • Ensure all members of staff are made fully aware of objectives;
  • Ensure all members of staff are committed to achieving the objectives; and
  • A complete understanding of the work process and all OH&S risks.
